Online course on the WTO and Trade Economics - Theory and Policy - English - Level 2 - Generalist Path

Description
The objective of this course is to provide some background knowledge on the basics of trade theory and trade policy, in order to explain what are the gains from trade and the costs associated with trade liberalization, as well as the motives to join a trade agreement.
The course covers gains from trade, comparative advantage, distributional effects and adjustment costs of trade liberalization, effects of a tariff in a small and large country, optimal tariff, rationale for multilateral commitments.
