Description
The objective of the workshop is to increase contribution to policy papers and consultations the Ministry initiates pertaining to Trade in Services; allow for the proactive submission of notifications on relevant measures to MFAT for onward submission to WTO; strengthen capacity and confidence of stakeholders to engage in Trade in Services negotiations under PACER Plus and other relevant trade agreements; provide a general understanding of exemptions for small, vulnerable economy under WTO; strengthen the capacity to prioritize key areas of interest to Samoa under the GATS DDA discussions once it resumes; enhance understanding of the services discussions in Geneva and how Samoa can contribute to such work.
