WTO/World Bank Trade and Poverty Forum - Forum Commerce et pauvreté , OMC et Banque Mondiale - Foro de comercio y probeza, OMC, Banco Mundial
Description

This Trade and Poverty Forum entitled "Connecting to Trade Opportunity: Policies and Programmes for Maximizing Poverty Reduction Impact" is jointly organized by the World Trade Organization and the World Bank Group, in collaboration with the WTO Chairs Programme. The Forum, which is the first in a series of dedicated thematic sessions we are holding in the context of the 2016-2017 Aid-for-Trade Work Programme, will be held at the WTO headquarters in Geneva on Thursday, 26 May 2016.

The event is being organized within the framework of the joint WBG/WTO initiative on the role of trade in ending poverty and follows a WTO-WBG report launched on this topic in June last year. A copy of this report can be accessed following this web link: https://www.wto.org/english/res_e/publications_e/worldbankandwto15_e.htm.

Selected WTO Chairs will present the outcome of their research on this topic.
