ESCAP/WTO Capacity Building Regional Workshop on Trade and Environment - Atelier ESCAP/OMC de renforcement des capacités sur le commerce et l'environnement - Taller ESCAP/OMC de creación de capacidad sobre el Comercio y el Medio Ambiente
Description

This activity under the WTO/ESCAP Technical Assistance Programme aims to build trade capacity of ESCAP member States and associate members by increasing their understanding of how trade and environment are linked with each other and how to design these policies to make them environment-oriented. The workshop contributes to the better understanding of how trade can be used as a tool to support actions for mitigation of climate change and economic diversification. 

The main objective of this capacity building workshop  is to increase participants' awareness on linkages between trade and environment. In particular, the workshop will focus on how to tap the green market opportunities, institutional support needed for ensuring that trade and environment policies work together.
