Description
The purpose of the Conference is to review the Programme of Action and redesign new goals and instruments for the next decade. Socio-economic progress in LDCs has so far been hampered by insufficient attention to the production sectors as the basis of social and economic development. Ultimately, the Millennium Development Goals can be sustained only if they are supported by inclusive broad-based economic growth through the development of productive and trade capacities.
