WTO Regional Workshop on TRIPS for Countries in the Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia and the Caucasus (CEECACs) Region - English
Description
The Workshop will address a number of important public policy issues related to the enforcement of IPRs. Comprehensive and up-to-date information will be provided, as well as an opportunity for an exchange of views among countries of the region. The purpose is to contribute to awareness raising and to facilitate relevant considerations and decision-making processes at domestic level, as well as to enhance the effective participation of participants in the policy areas under consideration in various international fora, including WTO, World Custom Organization, World Intellectual Property Organization and World Health Organization. By the end of the course the participants will have: - an improved understanding of the international legislative framework applying to IPRs; - an improved understanding of the current status of ongoing multilateral work on building respect for IP in the relevant fora; - an improved capacity to assess the significance of IP enforcement in the international trading system.
