Advanced Thematic Course on the TBT Agreement - Cours thématique avancé sur l'Accord OTC - Curso temático avanzado sobre el Acuerdo OTC
Description

Implemented within the WTO progressive learning framework, this two-week course represents the highest level of learning among WTO training activities.  Due to its advanced nature, the course is targeted at participants who already possess a sound knowledge of the general features of the WTO system and the Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade ("TBT Agreement").

To consolidate and deepen participants' knowledge of the TBT Agreement, there will be a series of sessions focusing on specific themes such as transparency, conformity assessment and dispute settlement. Participants are expected to be involved actively throughout the course and will also be collaborating in small groups on a project to be presented at the end of the course. During the second week, participants will also attend parts of the TBT Committee meeting with a view to observing how the Committee works in practice, what the rules and procedures are and how they can themselves participate more actively in its proceedings.
