Description
The workshop will provide an introduction to the law and economics of the multilateral trading system. After a short introduction to the multilateral trading system, the first set of lectures will focus on the GATT/WTO as a forum for negotiations in relation to further market opening. The second part examines the existence of rules aimed at securing the benefits from trade co-operation and specific trade concerns for the Pacific Islands Countries.
