Regional Workshop on Trade Remedies for Latin American Countries - Spanish - Level 2
The Dialogue will address, in a round table format, key questions in respect of the management of trade remedies (investigations and application of measures), from the perspectives of national and regional investigating authorities. Each session will be facilitated by an expert, either from the WTO or one of the partner institutions (ICTSD or ACWL). The facilitator will moderate the discussion by posing a series of questions for discussion, with the participants then taking the lead in describing their own experiences and posing questions about the experiences of others. The issues to be addressed in the dialogue include: Design and structure of an investigating authority; practical aspects of investigations (procedures and transparency The dispute settlement portion of the programme, on the third day, will consist of a panel discussion by experts concerning preparation before beginning a dispute, consultations, management of the adjudicatory process, and implementation of the results of a dispute.
