African Businesswomen in International Trade Programme (ACCESS II)
Description
ACCESS! II is addressing the particular constraints of African businesswomen by means of enhancing their access to a package of trade support services, including exporter training for sectors of particular relevance for women (horticulture, services, handicrafts & textiles, leather and coffee), peer mentoring and individual business counseling, trade information through a dynamic Web portal, networking activities and participation in matchmaking events delivered in close partnership with regional bodies. The overall objective of the programme is to complement other PACT II activities by creating specific business opportunities for African businesswomen and improved gender-responsive business development services and by helping women to upgrade their export management capacity in sectors with high export potential.
