This Workshop will serve as a follow-up of
the National TBT Workshop held in 2017 as well as complement the establishment
of a Technical Working Group on WTO-Technical Barriers to Trade (TWG on
WTO-TBT) that will report to the TCWM Sub-committee on Rules and Other
Disciplines. The Workshop also aims to enhance the appreciation of the TBT Agreement
by relevant stakeholders, including the private sector, as well as contribute
to the national agencies' implementation of the Agreement.
Provide a workshop training to
refresh the participants’ understanding on key principles of the TBT Agreement.
Enhance the participants’
understanding of good regulatory practices and its implementation in the
Philippines’ setting.
