WTO-FES Regional Training Course for Civil Society and Media
|
Description
Regional Dialogue for Media, Civil Society and Business from Asia - English - In the run-up to the 9th WTO Ministerial Conference in December 2013 in Bali, the regional dialogue brings together local and regional voices and opinion-makers from civil society, business and the media, with trade practitioners, academics and WTO Secretariat representatives. Greater awareness and a more informed debate on international trade matters lead to a better mutual understanding of the challenges and opportunities that are faced at the national, regional and international level. Against this background, the regional dialogue will focus on the following main areas: The WTO and the challenges it faces; the preparations for the Bali Ministerial Conference; and multilateralism versus bilateralism.
