Description
FES/WTO Regional Dialogue for Media, Civil Society and business from Western Africa. The regional dialogue brings together local and regional voices and opinion-makers from civil society, business and the media, with trade practitioners, academics and WTO Secretariat representatives. The regional dialogue brings together local and regional voices and opinion-makers from civil society, business and the media, with trade practitioners, academics and WTO Secretariat representatives. Greater awareness and a more informed debate on international trade matters lead to a better mutual understanding of the challenges and opportunities that are faced at the national, regional and international level. Against this background, the regional dialogue will focus on the following main areas: The WTO, the multilateral trading system and the Doha Round negotiations and the interests for the region; The outcome and impact of the 8th WTO Ministerial Conference; and Multilateralism versus bilateralism.
