WTO National Workshop on Dispute Settlement
Discuss and describe the main aspects of the rules and procedures governing the settlement of disputes in the WTO, by looking at the relevant WTO legal texts, as well as at the doctrine developed through the practice of WTO panels and the Appellate Body. At the completion of this activity, participants should be able to: · Identify the main features of the WTO dispute settlement system · Describe and explain the role and characteristics of consultations, panel review, and appellate review in WTO dispute settlement · Identify main topics of the current negotiations to clarify and improve the WTO Dispute Settlement Understanding.
