Export quality management product portfolio and services expansion - partnership with ISO
|
Description
The project aims to achieve two objectives. One objective is to help SMEs or organizations, of any size or type, to understand the regulatory mechanism dealing with environmental issues, to identify the environmental outcome beneficial to the organization and the regulatory body, and the process leading to certification. To this end, an ITC-ISO diagnostic tool, covering various aspects of the setting-up, implementation and certification of an Environmental Management System (EMS) according to ISO 14001, will be made available to the beneficiaries. The second objective is to enhance linkages between Trade Promotion Bodies (TPOs) and National Standards Bodies (NSBs), so as to strengthen the trade capacity of developing countries; an active dialogue and collaboration between TPOs and NSBs will be strengthened in 22 countries in Asia, and good practices will be shared in a joint ITC-ISO publication.
