This is a follow-up workshop for the Trade Policies Review (TPR) of Guatemala, held in November 2016. During this review, WTO Members identified some areas where improvement can be made, such as notification obligations and the implementation of WTO agreements, and other areas in which the updating and review of legislation would contribute to enhance welfare and promote growth. The workshop will be conducted in the format of trade policies seminars, with an objective of dissemination of results from the Trade Policies Review of Guatemala to relevant stakeholders including governmental agencies, the private sectors, civil societies, and academia. The Workshop is intended to be instrumental in facilitating Guatemala's reform agenda in the areas identified in the TPR by making the results of the TPR more widely available and identifying more clearly specific steps that need to be taken.
