Description
Workshop on the GATS and the Services Negotiations for Pacific Economies in Partnership with OCTA - English - Specialist - Level 3 - The workshop will offer training on the main features of the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS) and its provisions governing the scheduling of access commitments. It will also provide an opportunity to reflect on issues of particular interest to the countries of the region, namely the temporary movement of natural persons to supply services (mode 4) and the LDC services waiver. The workshop will also address the state of play in the services negotiations, as well as features and content of regional and other preferential agreements on services trade, and their treatment under the GATS.
