This workshop is organized by
the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the United
States Department of Commerce Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) in
cooperation with the WTO Secretariat for the benefit of government officials
and other persons interested in issues concerning government procurement and
trade.
The workshop is organized to
share experiences and discuss issues related to the GPA and, for relevant
delegations, to the 2014 Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), in
particular as they relate to e-procurement and electronic reporting tools. Over
the course of the workshop, additional sessions on GPA accession considerations
will be organized for relevant observer delegations to enhance awareness of
strategies for participation in the WTO GPA Committee as an Observer and policy
considerations for the GPA accession.
During the first day of the
workshop, Armenia will be invited to launch its OCDS based WTO GPA reporting
tool. Current reforms and future steps to be undertaken by the Government will be
the focus of discussion. Other countries implementing the OCDS will be given
floor to briefly present their own projects and participate to the discussion
about the use of various OCDS based tools t
