West Africa: Developing the Mango sector for increased export potential of ECOWAS countries (PACT II)
Description
Outcome 4 of the PACT II Programme - creation and reinforcement of cross-border technical collaborations with equitable import country enterprises and professional associations to support sustainable development of export enterprises in priority sectors and markets. This component 4.1 of Outcome 4 is focused on establishing ECOWAS services to support the development of products and markets for selected sectors. The mango sector has been selected to demonstrate an approach that ECOWAS TEN can later adapt to support SME entry into latin American, European and regional markets. It involves executing the West African SME market orientation and market entry preparation parts of the regional sector strategy in association with Brazilian enterprises and professional associations. This component addresses the development of pilot projects for capacity building of export industry players of the mango producing countries of ECOWAS by ECOWAS TEN.
