State of Palestine: Strenghtening Capacities in Trade Promotion for Export Development
Description
The Export Development Project aims to increase export opportunities for Palestinian businesses, especially women owned businesses, in sectors with export and income-generating potential in the West Bank. This will enable the enterprises, to export successfully to regional and international markets, and increase their local market share. It will also promote employment opportunities, sustainable private sector development, increased export opportunities, a greater role for women, and readiness to address environmental concerns. The project’s ultimate outcome is to increase export related opportunities for Palestinian firms in sectors with export and employment generation potential. This will be reached via two intermediate outcomes; (i) enhancing the effectiveness of PalTrade in responding to the export development needs of Palestinian businesses especially in sectors with export and employment generation potentials, and (ii) increasing the ability of Palestinian businesses to develop successful export initiatives, especially those owned by women.
