Internships in the Framework of the Netherlands Trainee Programme - This Programme includes a Field Module on "Policy Development and Trends in International Trade, Economic Diplomacy and Development Cooperation", taking place in The Hague, The Netherlands. This course will cover both economic diplomacy and development cooperation objectives of the ministry. On the one hand, participants in the programme will be able to further strengthen their knowledge of the WTO, international trade and policy planning. On the other hand, offering them a training course in the Netherlands allows for the participants to get acquainted with Dutch policy priorities, ideas and economic strengths. On a more general level, a training programme in the Netherlands will enhance diplomatic and also economic relations between the participating countries and the Netherlands, and between one another. In addition, the programmes proposed by Clingendael will involve practical and conceptual training with both government to government and government to private sector interaction.
