Export and Tourism-led Poverty Reduction Programme (ETPRP)
Description
BRAZIL: Inclusive Tourism Project New partnerships built with the Brazilian Development Bank – BNDES, SEBRAE, and SENAC will further develop the Coconut Coast as a unique and the world biggest sustainable project. The main objective of the Brazil project is to have efforts of replicating the project’s success along the 200 kilometres of the Coconut Coast made while capacity building of poor communities reinforced to offer products and services that meet the requirements of international tourists, directly and/or indirectly. LAO PDR: Inclusive Tourism Project The objective of this multi-agency project is to strengthen the capacities of the Laotians to tap the opportunities presented by tourism markets. MOZAMBIQUE: Inclusive Tourism Project The 2011 objective is to build on achievements and past experience to design a new project concept to be submitted to the EIF mechanism. RWANDA: Patchouli Project The 2011 objective is to consolidate the project, to be ended by December 2011, to ensure its long-term sustainability by further training of partners and beneficiaries to meet the buyer's (MANE) requirements. BENIN: Inclusive Tourism Project Strengthen the capacities of public and private actors to develop opportunities to promote their cultural wealth through the tourism market, hence improving poor communities' living conditions. GAMBIA: Inclusive Tourism Project The Gambian economy is assisted in its growth through tourism by building the capacity of small producers and service providers and by strengthening linkages between those and the tourism operators SYRIA: Essential oils and inclusive tourism project (See project SYR/74/479) Poor Communities are helped to tap export and tourism markets opportunities for selected high value added essential oils and other fruits and vegetables in the Region of Al-Ghab, as part of a multi-agency programme led by UNDP JAMAICA: Inclusive Tourism Project The capacities of small farmer
