Women and trade - Linking women business enterprises to corporate and institutional buyers 
Description
• To empower Women Business Enterprises (WBEs) in selected countries through increased market share with Corporations and Institutional buyers. The inception phase of the project INT/71/05A Empowering Women Business Enterprises (WBEs): Link to Corporate and Institutional Buyers aimed at: • Mapping the WBEs in 3 countries (Ghana, Mexico, Peru) to select the sectors where a critical mass of WBEs could be found. • Identify buyers in EEUU and UK willing to source from WBEs and their buying requirements. • Identify the technical assistance needs of WBEs to supply US and UK buyers. • Prepare the second-phase project plans to deliver the required technical assistance to WBEs to establish sustainable business relationships with corporations and large buyers. The results from the inception phase, were used used for the formulation and delivery of technical assistance activities to prepare WBEs to comply with Corporations'requirements.
