Description
Workshop on TRIPS for Latin American Countries - Spanish - Specialist - Level 2 - to help participants get a better understanding of: - the basic concepts of IP and of the TRIPS Agreement, en particular the economics of IP; - the current policy space in IP, notably by using the TRIPS flexibilities, the Doha Declaration (public health) and the ensuing amendment to the TRIPS Agreement; - topical TRIPS/IP issues under negotiations or discussions, e.g. publich health, geographical indications, TRIPS-CBD, traditional knowledge, climate change; - challenges relating to an analysis of IP issues dealt with in various levels of negotiations.
