Description

The conference is being organized by Harvard Law School with the assistance of WTO Appellate Body Chairman Thomas Graham.  https://wto20.law.harvard.edu/overview/ 

 

It will address a wide range of topics concerning WTO dispute settlement, including the future of trade remedies, the impact of FTAs, digital trade, services, and institutional resource constraints.     It will bring together government officials, legal practitioners, academics and other stakeholders to discuss pressing issues confronting the trade regime with Appellate Body members and high-level officials in the WTO Secretariat.  The conference is preceded by an academic symposium in which more than 40 of the conference attendees will hear about and discuss recent research by academics, practitioners, and expert groups on WTO and trade-related issues.    It will cover a wider range of issues beyond WTO dispute settlement.
