The objective of the course is to provide researchers and policy makers with a good knowledge of Trade in Value Added (TiVA) and Global Value Chains (GVCs) concepts and indicators as well as to assist them in accessing and using TiVA online databases. With the view to enable the participants to carry out studies on TiVA related to trade policy matters.
The course will be broken down in two parts. One Workshop specifically addressed to researchers that will cover the trade in value added concept, the underlying data and the main TiVA-GVC indicators. Focus will be made on the available online tools and databases (such as OECD-WTO TiVA database, WIOD and EORA database), their access and use through live demos.
