WTO Follow-up Workshop of the Trade Policy Review (TPR) of Guyana - Séminaire de suivi de l'OMC de l'examen des politiques commerciales (TPR) de la Guyane - Seminario de Seguimiento de la OMC del Examen de las Políticas Comerciales (TPR) de Guyana
Description
This is a follow-up workshop for the third Trade Policies Review (TPR) of Guyana, which was held in September 2015. During this review, WTO Members identified some areas where improvement can be made, such as notification obligations and the implementation of WTO agreements, and other areas in which the updating and review of legislation would contribute to enhance welfare. The workshop is conducted in the format of trade policies seminars, with an objective of dissemination of results from the third Trade Policies Review of Guyana to relevant stakeholders including governmental agencies, the private sectors, civil societies, and academia. The Workshop is intended to be instrumental in facilitating the Guyana's reform agenda in the areas identified in the TPR by making the results of the TPR more widely available and identifying more clearly specific steps that need to be taken.
