The Trade Forum on Central Asia will focus on the following themes : the WTO framework on trade in energy, ii) energy-related commitments in WTO accessions; and iii) energy efficiency and security in relation to the MTS. It will bring together senior representatives directly responsible for WTO accession and/or policy-making in trade in energy from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Russian Federation, Serbia, Tajikistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. Representatives of selected international organization and the private sector will also be invited.
The key objectives of the Forum are to : I) enhance understanding of the WTO framework on trade in energy, including energy-related commitments in WTO Accessions, and ii) explore areas of cooperation in energy efficiency and security in the MTS.
