WTO Online Course on The Dispute Settlement System - English - level 2 - Specialist path
Description
The objective of the course is to: - understand the importance and role of the WTO Dispute Settlement System (DSS) within the Multilateral Trading System (MTS) taking into account its historical evolution; - acquire knowledge of the WTO DSS, including its main features and the different stages of a proceeding; - acquire knowledge of the rules and procedures governing the settlement of disputes in the WTO, as embodied in the DSU; - retrieve and use background-related documents and the WTO legal texts, in particular the DSU; - develop a network of useful contacts between participants, trainers and experts from the WTO Secretariat.
