Description
The objectives of the course are to:

1. Understand the role of the TRIPS Council.
2. Know the general provisions and basic principles of the TRIPS Agreement.
3. Familiarize with the structure of the TRIPS Agreement and with the main TRIPS Decisions.
4. Understand the place of TRIPS in the WTO.
5. Understand what are intellectual property rights (IPRs) and why they are protected.

Course level: Specialized course, intermediary level.

Pre-requisite: Proficiency in the course language.
