WTO Regional Seminar on Aid for Trade
Description
Aid for Trade for Asia and Pacific Economies - English - Generalist - Level 2 - This seminar is concerned with development-related issues in the WTO, and with the linkage between trade and development more generally. Development-related issues currently being discussed in the WTO in the run-up to the 9th WTO Ministerial Conference (Bali, December, 2013) will be presented and discussed as well as the development-related decisions taken by the WTO Ministerial Conference in December 2011. There will be an important focus on Aid for Trade in the region and preparations for the 4th Global Review on Aid or Trade (July, 2013). The activity will be undertaken through a combination of lectures and interactive sessions, including group exercises. Participants will be encouraged to share their views and experiences on how trade can contribute to the development process.
